Valentine's day 2008-The Gress Mountain Ranch, large/small animal sanctuary, has recently received distinction as a "Certified Wildlife Habitat", for our special commitment to wildlife conservation and the environment, fostering habitat for animals and nature.  This certification came from the National Wildlife Federation

Allentown Halloween Parade on November 1st.  Animal Handlers, float decorators, and helping with the morning feedings, to prepare for the parade is needed.  Please call Kathryn at 610-398-2122, to help the animals participate in the "Halloween Parade" for Allentown.

October 18th, 2009: Open Gate Farm Tour, from 1pm to 5pm.  Autumum Crafts,  Bake sale, Barn sale items, Food stands, Petting Zoo for the therapy animals, and "donkey cart rides" will be provided on this event...Educational talks with discussions on Animal-Assisted Therapy/Activities will be on-going during this day.  Please call Kathryn at 610-398-2122, volunteer and help with this event....Last year we needed 32 volunteers with a Huge Sucess......We NEED YOU, so call or email Kathryn at kgress@entermail.net.   Thanks, in advance, KG
 
October 3rd, 2009: Borough of Freemansburg Annual Halloween Parade: Start time at 2pm, with line up at 12:30pm...Animal Handlers, float decorators, and side walkers are needed to participate in this parade.  Please contact Kathryn at 610-398-2122 to volunteer and help the animals!
 
September 20th, 2009:2nd Annual Week for the Animals:  Celebration of Ellie's life and all the Therapy Animals.  Reveren Joesph Grembocki, will give a "Blessing" to all the "Therapy Animals" at The Gress Mountain Ranch, at 2pm.
Entire events is at Gress Mountain Ranch from 11am to 5pm....It starts off as an offical event for "the week for the animals".  See their website for details...TGMR is a "Give Back Day" for all the therapy animals, and then a moment of Sharing, and Blessing of the Animals, and then refreshments offered by the Gress's.
 
08-15-09 "National Homeless Animal Day at TGMR from 9am to 1pm---featuring "Boyscout Troop 72 from Fogelsville, Pa.  A group of dedicated scouts, under the direction of "Eagle Scout"Brent Baade and his father Bill Baade", organized a day of helping TGMR with fencing, fence posts, and reconstruction of the alpaca palace....Ben and Kathryn Gress are very grateful to Brent and Bill for all they have done for the therapy animals!!!

The Gress Mountain Ranch, Yard Sale & Funraiser-at TGMR , 2 days, from 8am to 2pm.  July 31st, and August 1st.   Donkey cart rides for kids and adults, petting zoo of the "therapy animals", baked goodies, crafts, and flea market items....All proceeds benefit the "therapy animals at TGMR.  Please call Kathryn at 610-398-2122...to help with this event....We need volunteers for both days...Thanks,KG
 

July 11th, 2009-Great Pyrenees Fun Day at The Gress Mountain Ranch-The Penn Dutch, East Penn Great Pyrenees dog group will be having "fun" at the ranch. Time TBA   Help is needed for the morning feed for all the animals, ground maintenance, and help with the Pyr event!  All volunteers will be fed well at this event!   Please contact Kathryn at 610-398-2122 to help with this event.

June 20th at 10am  Girl Scouts "Work Day" at TGMR.  Volunteers needed to assist the girl scout troop with feeding, watering, environmental ground maintenance, and weeding and planting flowers.  Call Kathryn at 610-398-2122, to help the girl scouts working with the therapy animals.KG
June 6th, 2009, Quakertown Vet Clinic Pet Fair-Helping out with TGMR booth, and some of the therapy animals is needed this date...TBA, the time and details...Rain date June 7th.  Call Kathryn at 610-398-2122, to help the animals present a good showing!
May 23 10:00am to 10:30am-Alpaca and Cutie Shearing at The Gress Mountain Ranch, featuring Shearing123 with Leonard H. Erdman.   Help is needed to feed and water all the animals, with the morning feeding, ground maintenance, and help with the alpacas/Cutie with the shearing...Please contact Kathryn at 610-398-2122 to help with this important event
5-07-09-Community Give Back Day for Catasqua High School Students-at The Gress Mountain Ranch. Time: 08:30am-11:30am. Volunteers are needed to help Kathryn work with the students and the "therapy animals."  Adele, is already to "pitch in" and help this day!  Please call Kathryn at 610-398--2122..to help....
May 2nd, Saturday, 2009, The Armed Forces have again invited The Gress Mountain Ranch, Inc., to join in with the military and armed forces and join the parade, in the 2nd division, on West Broad Street in Bethlehem, at 2pm-4pm. 04-28-09-at 1:30pm Tuesday  Rocky, Miss Kayla, Smokey, and Kathryn have been invited to DayBreak Program, on Chew Street in Allentown.  We will be presenting, "Therapy Animals" to the members of this program, under the direction of Sue Unger, Activities Coordinator.  Help is needed at this event.. Miss Sylvia will be attending to help Kathryn. Call Kathryn at 610-398-2122 for this 1 hour lifeskills presentation.
