Marketing, PR and Community Outreach Intern
Description:
The Marketing, Public Relations, and Community Outreach Intern will support the Ranch’s external communications which are critical for raising awareness. The Intern will write and post messages, upload photos and video, develop marketing materials, write press releases, stories, and articles, and assist with planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns and community outreach efforts. The intern will work in close partnership with the marketing and public relations committee and various Board members. Interns may also provide assistance with grounds maintenance ensuring the ranch facilities are safe and presentable for animals, guests and clients.
Qualifications:
1.Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or English major with at least 60 college
credits completed.
2.Love of animals and compassion for helping others; commitment to the mission of Ranch
3.Excellent interpersonal communications and writing skills
4.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
5.Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
6.Prior experience with social media and website maintenance helpful
7.Outstanding organizational and follow-through skills
8.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
9.Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10.Dependable and punctual
11.Minimum commitment of 2 hours a week/semester or summer
12.This is an unpaid internship

The Marketing, Public Relations and Community Outreach Intern will gain knowledge about administration, marketing and fundraising functions of non-profit organizations. The Intern will work with Board members and have the opportunity to meet with marketing and public relations professionals. Interns will also have the opportunity to expand social networks, and improve social skills.
